Zack And Miri Make a Porno red band trailer

It’s here! The official R-rated trailer for Kevin Smith’s next film, Zack And Miri Make a Porno. See it here.

I heard Kevin kept a lot of the ad-libbing that Seth did in the scenes. It’s gonna be great to see how well this works in the flick. I think Kevin and Seth have the same humor and it will work well together. The trailer is really funny!

Joey Cape “Bridge” solo album

bridge

Joey Cape is the lead singer for Lagwagon and Bad Astronaut and is a singer/songwriter in The Playing Favorites. He has released some acoustic songs before on a split album with Tony Sly, the lead singer for No Use For A Name. Now Joey has his own album full of unreleased acoustic songs called Bridge. Half of them are on the new Lagwagon EP, but i think Joey does a better job playing them acoustic. Can’t wait to hear it when it’s released on my birthday Sept 29th.

Shitty news for Potter fans.

I was looking forward to seeing the sixth Harry Potter movie this november. I wasn’t always a fan of the books or the movies till a friend had me watch the fouth one. After that i had to go back and see the first three and read all the books. Im hooked!

Now that The Dark Knight did so well, Warner Bros. doesn’t need another big movie this year so they are pushing it back to summer 09. I understand why and it’s a great idea….for them. For us potter fans it means waiting ten months instead of three.

The X-Files: I Want to Believe

Lately there have been a lot of reasons for all of us nerds and geeks to leave our parents basements and venture out into the real world only long enough to find our way into another dark room with a comfy chair and a sticky floor…… a movie theater. First it was The Incredible Hulk, and then we had the surprisingly great Iron Man. Then Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Then came the comic book movie that blew them all away, The Dark Knight. Tomorrow we got The X-files: I Want to Believe. We’ve had to wait 10 long years to see Mulder and Scully on the big screen again, but that day as finally come! This one looks really good and possibly scary. It seems more like the original x-files shows before the whole reoccurring alien conspiracy. Can’t wait!

This isn’t for everyone. Only for super BR fans like me! Comes out tomorrow (July 8th).

Finally saw Iron man and Indiana Jones 4

I earned myself a few movie passes and used them only a few days apart. Since I can’t afford to be drunk every night I figured going to the movies alone is better than sitting around moping over lost love. Anyway I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Sunday night. I thought it was a good movie. Just as fun and action packed as the last three. The only downfall is I thought it ended too soon, but still good. Iron Man on the other hand was fucking great. Maybe i’m saying this because I just walked in the door from seeing it. It looked amazing and I thought it was a great story. Like most first comicbook movies it told the orgin of the super hero and he fought his first villian. Robert Downey Jr. did a really great job as Tony Stark. Definitly will be part of my DVD collection when it’s released!

RIP George Carlin

Saw him a few months ago, I guess it didn’t help! ;)

The Offspring remaster 2 albums

Back in the early 90’s I was into rock and punk music just like I am today. In 94 I joined the Marines and after bootcamp I went on to my MOS training in North Carolina. There were no mp3 players back then and I couldn’t bring my whole CD collection in my bags so i only could bring a few. Of the few CDs i did choose to take were the two offspring albums shown above. I really dug them and I still do. That’s why when i saw they were releasing remastered copies of the albums I had to run out and buy them.
